Vatsala Mehra, Eastern Times, August 1987

Recently Washington based star, Vatsala Mehra, was on a tour in Toronto and Ottawa in Canada, and in New York, performing in the Sham-e-Hyderabadi along with celebrities Dilip Kumar, Saira Banu and other upcoming stars.

“Fantastic, beautiful and gorgeous” were the comments in the background for this artist, who was by far the star of the evening in Toronto. Her singing was soul touching: it left the audience mesmerized.

The fan club of Vatsala is still spellbound by her expressive melody of verse and are overwhelmed by her own unique, versatile style of singing.

Vatsala, the winner of the Best Female International Ghazal Singer award had the crowds in Ottawa humming her compositions even after she left for her performance in New York. In a black and gold attire she looked stunning as always, was the recipient of the warmest applause for her superb performance from the full house.

The enormous fan club of Vatsala, which after a long wait finally got a taste of her talent in person, is more than eager to hear her perform again. We hope she’ll fulfill their wishes soon.
